On Wednesday, April 24, the municipal council presented its accountability for the year 2023-2024.
The mayor and aldermen have drawn attention to the multi-million investments in all strategic sectors of the municipality.
Mayor Wilfredo Olivences featured in a 90-minute broadcast on the Mayor's Facebook page and live on the Costa Network TV channel, thanking all his team members, the men and women who make better management possible.
He then explained in a summary to the community the main results achieved in 2023-2024.
Viewers received first-hand information about how the council's money has been used.
Among other things, for the beautification and construction of sidewalks and curbs, renovations in the various streets, construction of the Fire Department and Civil Protection barracks, Photographic Parador, improvement of traffic signs, water wells and expansion of the public lighting system in the city.
This Accountability Day also highlighted work in solid waste management, highlighting the effectiveness of compactor trucks.

Later, the re-elected mayor Wilfredo Olivences, the new vice mayor and the council members were sworn in.
During the event, the Board of Councilors unanimously elected Chisell Hernández as President and Cristina Sánchez as Vice President of the Chapter House for the period 2023-2024.
