Yesterday it happened again, on the main road Puerto Plata - Sosúa.
A number of cows cross the road without looking properly for oncoming traffic.
This repeatedly leads to life-threatening situations.
DIGESETT where are you?
The traffic police, formerly AMET, now called DIGESETT (Dirección General de Seguridad de Tránsito y Transporte Terrestre, Directorate-General for Road Safety and Land Transport) obviously do not have time to do anything about this.
They are far too busy harassing people and looking to see if they can issue a fine for whatever reason.
They should track down the owners of the cows and give them a hefty fine.
Road safety should be the job of DIGESETT, and that is what they should be concerned with.
Make sure that those cows no longer walk the streets and cause life-threatening situations.
