Monday afternoon, April 14, in accordance with its institutional obligation to guarantee the safety and well-being of its citizens, the Sosúa City Council held a meeting in the Guarionex Gell Hall at the City Hall.
The meeting was chaired by Mayor Wilfredo Olivences, who, as a gesture of solidarity and humanity, requested a minute's silence in memory of the victims of the tragic incident at the Jet Set entertainment center.
The meeting was attended by various civil and military authorities and community representatives.
This meeting is part of the Sosúa City Council's strategic actions to strengthen emergency response capacity and ensure effective coordination between the different government agencies and civil society.
The municipal council is very grateful for the help and willingness of all institutions involved and once again emphasizes its commitment to continue working towards a safer, more resilient and better organized Sosúa.
But of course it remains unclear what they are going to do.
