Francisco Martínez 'Cholo' demands the presence of the mayor to approve assistance in the sessions of the Sosúa City Council.
During the regular session held this Monday afternoon at the Sosúa City Hall, Councilor Francisco Martínez 'Cholo' emphasized that, as established by the Municipal Law, the presence of the executive is essential for the approval of aid.
This means that the mayor is expected to be present.

Martínez argued that there is no point in approving aid in the mayor's absence if it is then not implemented.
His position was supported by councilors Óscar Luis Gómez Salazar 'Lupi' and Wellington Padilla, who decided to postpone to an extraordinary session the request for support to the Defensa Civil (Civil Protection) for all the work that awaits them during Holy Week 2025.
It is worth highlighting the important work that the Defensa Civil does in the community and the support it has received from the City Council in the past.
