Sosúa 11-01 Educational District, led by Juan Dionicio Mezquita Batista, successfully organized the 2025 Theater and Dance Festival, bringing together students and teachers in an event dedicated to art and performing arts.
The day started with a prayer followed by the singing of the national anthem.
The welcoming words were delivered by Brunilda Castillo, the technician in charge of the Art Education Department, while the keynote speech was given by Dionicio Mezquita Batista. Marieli Almonte, regional advisor in the field of Art Education, gave the participants an encouraging message.
The main objectives of the District Theater and Dance Festival 2025 were to exchange experiences between teachers and students.

With this exchange they can strengthen their skills in producing plays, dances, scripts and other artistic expressions.
The aim was also to encourage the expression of ideas and messages through various artistic forms, to emphasize the importance of art across disciplines and to promote critical analyzes of environmental issues through the performing arts.
The festival concluded with the presentation of medals to the participating students, recognizing their efforts and talent in each performance.
Education District 11-01 reaffirms its commitment to the artistic and cultural development of the educational community and promotes spaces of expression and creativity for young people.
