The Ministry of Tourism (MITUR), led by Minister David Collado, continues to carry out infrastructure works to strengthen tourism development in the province of Puerto Plata.
On Thursday, the access road to Playa El Tablón in the municipality of Sosúa was paved.
This is part of efforts to improve the accessibility and environment of this important coastal destination.
The project, which responds to the needs of the community and the tourism sector, is part of MITUR's drive to promote growth in the area.
The intervention at Playa El Tablón is not only for the visiting tourists, but also has a positive impact on local businesses and the economic development of the municipality.
Regional Director of Tourism Atahualpa Paulino continuously monitored the progress of the works and ensured that they were carried out to the highest quality standards and within the planned time.

In addition, it was reported that asphalt paving works will also be carried out on other streets in the area, in order to improve the road infrastructure and accessibility of the destination.
But the locals wonder, why this street?
No one lives there and almost no one goes to the beach of El Tablón.
At least, almost no tourists.
There are so many more important streets that require attention and maintenance.
