CORAAPPLATA (La Corporación de Acueductos y Alcantarillados de Puerto Plata, Drinking Water Company of the Province of Puerto Plata) is restoring drinking water supplies in sectors of the municipality of Sosúa.
La Unión
CORAAPPLATA reports that due to problems with various electromechanical equipment in the pumping stations of La Unión and María la O, in the municipality of Sosúa, the water supply in these sectors has been affected.
Two pumps at the La Unión pumping station burned down due to voltage fluctuations in the electricity grid.
Its equipment is being repaired to restore water supply in the sectors of La Unión, Villa Liberación, the Holguín district, Las Caobas and surrounding areas as soon as possible.
In the same way, CORAAPPLATA technicians, in collaboration with Edenorte staff, are working on a solution for the blown transformers that supply energy to the María la O pumping station, a failure that has left that community without water, but also the Gregorio Luperón International Airport and the Puerto Plata air base and surrounding areas.
CORAAPPLATA informs the affected communities that it is doing everything it can to put the aqueducts that supply water to these sectors into service as soon as possible.
At the same time, the institution apologizes for the inconvenience.
By the way, be careful when you pass La Union, where a water pipe leak has created a hole in the road surface.
