In a joint effort to strengthen the well-being of the community, the Social Policy Cabinet, the Government of Puerto Plata and the Municipal Council of Sosúa organized a successful Social Inclusion Day in the Sosúa Abajo sector.
The event was attended by leading authorities, including the Governor of Puerto Plata, Claritza Rochette, the Minister of Administration of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza, the Director of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC), Igor Rodríguez and the Mayor of Sosúa, Wilfredo Olivences, who confirmed their commitment to the social development of the province.
More than a thousand people benefited from various health services, legal advice, food distribution, participation in social assistance programs and other initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of the civilian population.
Social inclusion
During his speech, Mayor Wilfredo Olivences emphasized the importance of these events to ensure that the most vulnerable sectors have access to essential services.
'We continue to work closely with the government to provide concrete solutions for our people', he said.
Minister José Ignacio Paliza, in turn, emphasized that these actions are part of a comprehensive plan to involve all communities of Puerto Plata in improving their living conditions.
