The government and Mayor Wilfredo Olivences are busy helping families affected by the heavy rainfall recently.
To help families affected by the rain in the province of Puerto Plata, the director of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC) Igor Rodríguez Durán and the governor Claritza Rochtte have moved to the Sosúa Abajo Bible Temple where deliveries are made to those who have suffered harm.
Food rations, household items and vouchers are part of the assistance provided to families affected by river flooding.
Pastor Olmedo Castillo and Genaro García, president of the Federation of Neighborhood Councils of Sosúa, distributed the aid packages.

Igor Rodríguez said that in his dual role as Puerto Plata resident and public servant, he will continue to work together with the other authorities of the province to continue helping the affected families.
President Luis Abinader and the province's minister, José Ignacio, have urged this.
Governor Claritza Rochtte and Mayor Wilfredo Olivence (Willy El Chamo) said they will continue to work in unity to improve the quality of life of those affected.
Each family will continue to receive the Dominican government's helping hand in their recovery.
