Last weekend the Gastronomic Festival of Sosúa was held for the third year.

The festival took place in the Parque de Flores where a series of booths and a large stage were set up.
Many restaurants in Sosúa had taken this opportunity to bring their special dishes from their kitchen under the attention of the public.
We saw Casa Valeria, Casa Linda, Scandinavian Beach Bar, Restaurant Tipico Alberto and Burrito Hut with a stand.
There were also stands where sweets, drinks, and cigars were offered.
Most snacks were reasonably priced and cost up to 150 pesos.
A lot of people showed up and many of them wanted to taste all these delights.
But for three days there were also performances by dance groups, music (jazz and merengue tipico) and singing performances on the big stage.
The Sunday evening ended with a top act!
The nationally famous and well known music band Ruby Pérez performed.
He played a lot of merengue and salsa tunes.
The audience sang the choruses of each song along.
The entire park, not just in front of the stage, was packed with an enthusiastic audience.
It seems as if the Gastronomic festival gets better every year.
